In September I came across the Patina Sunset Challenge on Artisan Whimsy and with my new experiments with flame painting on copper I thought it would be a good idea to enter! Yes I am becoming brave in my old age 😉
There are so many talented and experienced artists in the group that it was just to see what everyone thought and how my work compared to these really creative people. I think I did OK because I got a few votes 🙂 I didn’t win but I know I still have a very long way to go in teaching myself about patina so I probably would have died if I had!
Anyway what’s more exciting is that by taking part my pieces (along with everyone else’s of course!) got featured in the October issue of the Bead Chat magazine. First time ever that anything I made has been in a magazine. So Thank you Melinda Orr for giving us all the opportunity!
