Individually Crafted Small Copper Fish Decoration
Decorative Colourful Fish Hanging Decoration indoor sculpture. This little fish will look great hanging from a hook on the wall or from a hook above a window or tall door. It will hang at an angle.
This fish is 12.5 cm long and 6 cm at its widest point. It has been individually shaped and hammered. The bright colours have been achieved with alcohol ink. I have given a renaissance wax polish which will help to maintain the shine. The colour is on one side, the other side has been left with no finish and is bare copper. The copper will continue to darken naturally over time as it reacts with the oxygen in the air.
This copper fish has been made from copper sheet. The fish shape was cut from the sheet and then hammered using several hammers to give it texture and dimension.
The fish will come on clear string which you can change to a string of your choice if you wish.
The making process makes each copper fish unique. I draw a fish shape free hand, cut it using metal snips and then hammer it. The alcohol ink is then poured on the surface and allowed to flow in every direction without much intervention. So the colourful patterns on each fish will always be different.
